Los Chiles Mission

Volunteer in Missions Teams in Los Chiles, January 2011

Los Chiles is on Costa Rica’s northern frontier, bordering Nicaragua. Many people have come from Nicaragua looking for the “better life” in Costa Rica. In 2004 the Methodist Church purchased a lot, built a church building, fellowship hall and kitchen, and the parsonage. Soon it became apparent that these people are living in incredibly poor housing conditions and often without water in their wells in the dry season of the year. So through our Volunteer in Mission efforts, the work began.
